Life has changed so much since the early 2000's.

My favorite times were from 2003-2009, starting with my favorite titles on PS2 like Custom Robo, Darkwatch, Mario Kart: Double Dash, The Simpsons Hit & Run, Viewtiful Joe and so much more. Back when we used to go to the video store to rent our games and movies, our attention spans were laser focused on what we rented, since choosing something was such an active choice and we only had a limited time to enjoy it.

We also had LAN parties and social gathering events where we could all enjoy games together or even separately but in a social setting. With the inclusive of Xbox LIVE, video games became a much more social medium, guaranteeing that almost any game you played would have some kind of online following.
